The HackHers spend their free time promoting their name, fundraising, and trying to give back to their community. We regularly present our robot to groups like the Rotary Club, and we are given the opportunity to attend lectures at places like iRobot, MIT, and WISE (Women in Science and Engineering). We also volunteer around Needham, lending out members to become mentors for younger robotics teams in the elementary schools, middle school, and girl scouts troops, and we occasionally share our field with neighboring schools such as St. Sebastian's so we can practice together and improve our community ties.
We also were given the opportunity to present our robot to Congressman Joe Kennedy at a PTC function!
